Kora Organics review: Is Miranda Kerr’s skin care worth the hype?
It’s not rare for celebrities to come out with their own beauty products. Whether it’s a makeup collection or skin care brand, there are tons of celeb-started beauty lines for you to choose from. But while fans of these celebrities are likely to become loyal customers, are the products really worth it? Or are you just paying for the celebrity name? Kora Organics is celebrity brand that has stayed relevant for several years. Our Kora Organics review answers the question: Are the most popular products that Miranda Kerr’s skin care brand has to offer worth the hype?
WHAT IS KORA ORGANICS?
Australian model Miranda Kerr founded Kora Organics was founded in 2009. This line was available exclusively in Australia at first, but it launched at Sephora in the U.S. in 2017. Now the brand is global, and you can find it in 30 different countries and regions.
Kora Organics is popular for its ingredients, particularly noni extract, which is said to have natural healing and protective powers. This line is cruelty-free, not tested on animals, and most of the line’s products are vegan.
According to Kerr herself, Kora Organics was, “founded on the values of making a transformative difference to people’s skin, their confidence, and offering them a healthier alternative to other brands on the market.”
KORA ORGANICS NONI GLOW FACE OIL
This Noni Glow Face Oil from Kora Organics is made with antioxidants and essential fatty acids sourced from organic noni extract, rosehip oil, pomegranate oil and sea buckthorn oil. Kora Organics designed this face oil to nourish, smooth and brighten skin. It also diminishes the visible effects of sun damage and scarring. Kerr claims this oil is great for all skin types, including sensitive skin. Noni Glow Face Oil is one of the most popular Kora Organics products for its ability to melt into your skin quickly, and the radiant glow it gives off.
Some experts point out that although this product contains ingredients great for hydrating dry skin, the fragrance ingredients in the oil can cause problems for your skin. And while the fragrance is not potent and doesn’t linger on your skin, it may cause irritation even if it isn’t visible. Why is fragrance a problem? It’s because both synthetic and natural fragrant ingredients can cause chronic sensitizing reaction on your skin.
KORA ORGANICS TURMERIC BRIGHTENING AND EXFOLIATING MASK
Kora Organic’s Turmeric Brightening and Exfoliating Mask is another one of the brand’s most popular products. This vegan mask contains ingredients like rosehip seeds, quartz, papaya, BHA and aspen bark. The mask claims to clean your pores and refine your skin. The turmeric in the mask brightens, calms and helps prevent environmental aging.
This mask is not only popular, it does what it says. With awards from Byrdie and Harper’s Bazaar, this mask is truly a powerful at-home facial. Customer studies shows that 97% of users saw a difference, with their skin appearing less oily, congested and dull. And 97% of users also claimed their skin felt refreshed, purified and soft, with 90% noticing refined skin texture. You can use this product as a leave-on face mask treatment or a scrub for skin polishing.
KORA ORGANICS NONI NIGHT AHA RESURFACING SERUM
The Kora Organics Noni Night AHA Resurfacing Serum is a vegan overnight treatment that smooths and refines your complexion. The formula contains an effective 8% active blend of several exfoliants including lactic acid, lemon peel and caviar lime. (It is important to note that this product also contains fragrance. The Noni Night smells like citrus due to its ingredients, including the essential oils of neroli and geranium.) The ingredients work together to make your skin as glowy and clean as possible.
Kora Organics claims the AHA’s and BHA’s in this serum will resurface your skin and increase the cellular turnover. Consistency with the product will help soften your skin for long term results. Miranda Kerr herself says the serum helped with her pigmentation spots and has reduced the size of her pores. And the serum is another awards-winnter for the Kora Organics line, having won Allure’s 2020 Best of Beauty award
FINAL THOUGHTS
We do have to mention that at their prices, which are significantly higher than most drugstore skin care products, Kora Organics’ offerings are luxury products. Still, we think Kora Organics is a great skin care line if you’re looking for clean beauty. Each product is certified organic because Kerr says she wants consumers to know “exactly what you’re putting on your skin.” A full list of ingredients for every item can be found online to ensure the product you’re purchasing will work for you.
